Key Responsibilities
- Advises on the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, private equity investments, and joint ventures.
- Supports structuring and planning for corporate and partnership transactions.
- Affords tax analysis related to capital markets work and restructuring mandates.
- Contributes to state and local tax controversy matters as required.
- Drafts memoranda, client advisories, and transaction documentation.
- Works collaboratively with deal teams across practice areas.
Who You Are
- 2–6 years of big law experience in M&A tax, transactional tax, or corporate tax planning.
- Strong technical grounding in federal tax law; partnership tax and cross-border experience advantageous.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple active matters.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Member of the New York Bar (or eligible for admission).
Compensation
Salary Range: $235,000 – $390,000 DOE
