About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides recovery‑focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician, and implements direct care safely, effectively, and efficiently in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care. Telecare’s mission is to deliver excellent behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. The Merrill Center Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Fontana, CA offers 24/7 voluntary treatment in a welcoming, home‑like environment to assess crises, soothe individuals, and connect them with resources to prevent future crises.

Responsibilities

• Provides recovery focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician.
• Provides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) /Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) program and current licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certificate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified (hands‑on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment.
• Successful completion of post‑offer physical examination, 2‑step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearance, excluded party sanctions, and degree/license verification.
• If driving is required: valid driver’s license, motor vehicle clearance, proof of auto insurance; willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups; willingness to use personal vehicle for meetings (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate).

Pay

Expected starting wage range is $27.23 – $33.66 per hour. Telecare applies geographic differentials; the assigned pay range will be based on the location where the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Schedule

Shifts available: Full‑Time, AM shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
