The Registered Nurse leads the health care team, providing professional nursing care using the nursing process in line with established standards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities

  • Discusses and finalizes plans with patients, families, and the care team in a timely manner.
  • Monitors patient progress and revises plans based on condition and evaluation.
  • Ensures care meets standards of practice and completes discharge planning, including education and barrier identification.
  • Ensures patient safety through medication management, fall prevention, infection control, and pain management.
  • Addresses patient anxieties, fears, or concerns and ensures comprehension of medications and discharge instructions.

  • Charts accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner, reflecting the nursing process and interventions.

Requirements

• Experience
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Diagnostic Imaging/IR, PACU, ED, or Critical Care.
  • Procedural Sedation experience, including knowledge of medications for adult patients requiring sedation, analgesia, and reversal agents.
  • Proficient in I.V. therapy.
  • Ability to rotate through MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, CT, Angiography, Interventional Radiology, and other diagnostic areas.
  • Ability to take call with a 30-minute response time.
• Licenses & Certifications
  • Registered Nurse License (California).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Schedule

• Per Diem (variable start times).
• Standby and holiday coverage required.
• Workdays: Monday through Sunday.
• Shift: Day shift (12:01 AM – 11:59 PM).

Pay

$69.95 - $95.98 per hour. Kaiser Permanente offers a market-competitive total rewards package, with pay determined by labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate’s relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

Onsite at Woodland Hills Medical Center, Radiology-Interventional department.
