About the role

The LV/Electrical Systems EIT/Coordinator will be expected to complete a variety of project tasks including but not limited to the following:

  • Strong general engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection etc.) and operational coordination with commercial hardware.
  • Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and ensure those requirements are met within the project design.
  • Define and develop project related construction documents to include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project specifications and assist with system related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities.
  • Capture and maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
  • Develop alternative system design concepts, feasibility and trade-off studies and value-added engineering when required for projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
  • Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project related requirements.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional advancement (EIT/PE certifications/licensure)
  • Strong computer skills and a proficiency or able to work in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education

Skills
