About the role
The Lumber Director of Operations plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple PARR locations. This position requires a proven track record as a manager, with a focus on leadership, communication, and people development.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and positive work environment
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and equipment maintenance
- Work with General Managers to complete fleet reports

- Achieve budgeted bottom line
- Coach and delegate financial reporting

- Share knowledge and experience with the team
- Manage direct reports: General Managers
Qualifications
- Proven track record as a Manager
- 2 years of prior supervisory or management experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to speak, write, and read English
- Knowledge and proficiency with management principles, practices, and protocols
- Understanding of lumber industry market conditions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Class C driver’s license
- Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material

- Work cordially, professionally, and with a high level of customer service
- Identify and improve processes to enhance the workplace and outcomes for customers
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees
- Manage stress and interact with others professionally
Physical Requirements
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Work indoors in a normal office environment
- Grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Drive a vehicle when necessary
