Non-seasonal, non-benefited part-time staff position.
Schedule
- Wednesday evenings (5:30–6:40 pm)
- Saturday mornings (10:00–11:10 am & 11:15 am–12:15 pm)
- Hours based on program needs
Pay
Salary range: $14.50–$15.95 per hour, DOE. All part-time employees receive a $20 premium family membership with employment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current USFSA membership + Coaching Accreditation OR USA Hockey Membership + Coaching Accreditation
- 2+ years of teaching Learn-to-Skate (LTS) or skating (hockey or figure)
Responsibilities
- Lead Learn-to-Skate classes either by yourself or with a LTS instructor; lead or co-teach Advanced Adult or Aspire Academy level classes
- Communicate effectively with both students and other LTS instructors and professionals
- Cultivate an inclusive, positive, and upbeat environment that ensures skating becomes a safe, fun space for all participants
- Monitor participants and respond appropriately to safety concerns, injuries, or emergencies
Supervision
This position works under the supervision of the Ice Programs Coordinator.
