LT Certified Substitute Elementary Teacher @ Elizabeth Shelton School - Grade 3

About the role

The Shelton Public School system is seeking a LONG TERM CERTIFIED SUBSTITUTE ELEMENTARY TEACHER at ELIZABETH SHELTON SCHOOL for GRADE 3. A valid CT Certification with an appropriate elementary endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach grade 3 curriculum aligned with state standards
• Instruct students in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other subjects as assigned
• Maintain classroom order and discipline
• Implement lesson plans and activities as outlined in the job description
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning

Requirements

• Valid Connecticut teaching certificate with an appropriate elementary endorsement
• Experience teaching grade 3 or related subject areas
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or related field preferred
• At least one year of successful teaching experience

• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning

Pay

$323.56 per diem

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:45 a.m. - 4 p.m.
