LPN - Surgical - Full Time

About the role

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or guidance of a licensed professional. Ensures professional accountability, coordinates care with other departments, and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supports a diverse surgical patient population, including bariatric, kidney, and abdominal surgeries, as well as GI conditions.
• Works within a multidisciplinary team including educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, therapists, dieticians, and others.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with successful licensure.
• Must hold a current LPN license.
• Obtain necessary certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, or others as required.
• Additional unit-specific certifications may be needed.

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, and kneeling.
