LPN - Surgical - Full Time

About the Role

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or guidance of licensed professionals, ensuring professional accountability and patient rights. The role involves supporting a multidisciplinary team including educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dietitians, PT/OT, and speech therapists. The position emphasizes compassionate, collaborative care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care across departments within a 24-bed surgical unit, supporting diverse surgical and medical cases.
• Support patients with conditions such as GI issues, bariatric, kidney, and abdominal surgeries.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights throughout care delivery.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent education and successful licensure.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice, meeting all licensing requirements.
• Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or unit-specific certifications may be required or obtained within designated timeframes.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical tasks essential to patient care.
