LPN/RN | SCC | Contingent

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Specialty Care Center (SCC) Team. This is a Monday-Friday opportunity with hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

About the Role

In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn both the clinical and clerical aspects of patient care to better support the patient’s experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care functions to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
• Answer phones, record messages, prepare charts, and obtain insurance pre-authorization as necessary.
• Perform within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s and department’s Ethics and Compliance program and report compliance variances to your immediate supervisor.
• Assist in pre-certifying treatments for therapies and procedures; schedule treatments and communicate with patients, physicians, coworkers, and pharmacies.
• Attend all mandatory education and in-services (e.g., team training, safety, infection control); complete mandatory health requirements.

Requirements

• Licensed as an LPN or RN in the State of Ohio; completes twenty-four (24) contact hours of approved continuing education (CE) during each two-year licensure renewal period, consistent with Ohio Board of Nursing requirements.
• Maintain continuous certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Attain American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain bi-annual certification.
• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing with current licensure in the State of Ohio.
