LPN/RN Night Supervisor $5,000 sign on bonus

Duties

• Directs and assists in patient/resident care given by other nursing personnel.
• Supervises and assesses the competence and performance of nursing staff as related to position description, standards of care and facility policies.
• Participates in the interdisciplinary care approach to patients/residents and families.
• Participates in the quality assessment and improvement process and activities.
• Organizes and acquires resources necessary for meeting the needs of the designated nursing unit.
• Initiates emergency support measures (i.e., CPR), protects patients/residents from injury.
• Provides patient/resident/caregiver education as necessary.
• Acts as a liaison to patients and families, addressing concerns and coordinating resources as needed.
• Provides case management by assisting with patient transitions (admissions and discharges).
• Maintains confidentiality and patient/resident rights, regarding all patient/resident/personnel information.
• Maintains knowledge of necessary documentation requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up, maintenance and use, i.e. monitors, infusion devices, drain devices, etc.

Requirements

• Must hold valid GA RN License.
• 2 years management experience (preferable).
• Computer skills.
• Case management background a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
