LPN - Practical Nurse - Float

About the role

Provides primary clinical support in an ambulatory setting, assisting providers with patient care, diagnostics, and procedures. Ensures accurate documentation, specimen collection, and patient communication, while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Administers medications and vaccines within scope of practice and prepares patients for examinations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history, vital signs, and assist in examinations.
• Support minor procedures and diagnostic tests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare laboratory specimens and manage related paperwork.
• Communicate with patients, respond to inquiries, and prioritize provider needs.
• Maintain examination rooms, ensuring asepsis and readiness of instruments and equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
• Ability to provide care for patients across specific age ranges.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in a float position with premium pay.
