Responsibilities
- Update and maintain the electronic medical record with up-to-date vital signs, patient demographics, medication reconciliation, allergies, and medical diagnoses
- Manage Physician inbox messages and prioritize tasks assigned via the electronic medical record
- Assist in maintaining the medical inventory; place orders for new materials and stock rooms to ensure adequate supplies for physician staff
- Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Provide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets
- Assist physician with exams and/or procedures
- Prepare and administer injections
- Perform phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens
- Perform point-of-care lab testing
- Perform EKGs
- Administer and document medication under a physician’s order and follow the five (5) medication rights to reduce the potential for medical error
- Must be willing and able to float throughout our Manhattan locations
Requirements
- Current NYS LPN license required
- At least 1 year of LPN experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Spanish-speaking preferred
- Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals
- Experience with EMRs
- Reliable transportation to any of NYCBS locations for patient care needs

Pay
Starting at $39 per hour
Schedule
4/10 hour days, Mon, Wed-Fri 7:30a-6p (RDO Tuesday)
Eligible candidates will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus after successfully completing 6 months of continuous employment. Bonus is contingent upon the employee remaining in good standing at the time of payout.
