What You'll Help With

Transforms healthcare by providing practical nursing support in a physician practice or clinic setting as directed by the physician or mid-level practitioner. Ensures compliance with all relevant policies and standards.

• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development to care for patients appropriately.
• Completes patient assessments, prepares patients for provider evaluations, administers medications and injections, coordinates tele-retinal and tele-dermatology clinic setup, documents patient information in the electronic medical record, provides patient teaching, assists with referrals and pre-authorizations, assists with lab procedures, and performs x-ray procedures.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or new graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam.
• Experience: One (1) year experience in a physician office preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN) required. Licensure as a Radiologic Technician Limited if performing radiology. Current AHA BLS-HCP certification required.

Pay and Benefits
