LPN Outpatient

About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care within a psychiatric outpatient setting, focusing on medication management, patient education, and clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Administers and reviews medications, responds to refill requests, and monitors for side effects.
• Performs venipuncture, interprets lab results, and reports abnormal findings.
• Offers education to consumers and families about psychiatric conditions and medications.
• Documents clinical activities, updates patient records, and ensures compliance with policies.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, develops treatment plans, and provides emergency care.
• Engages in supervision, seeks clinical feedback, and enhances professional skills.
• Maintains a respectful, compassionate approach towards consumers, visitors, and colleagues.
• Completes administrative duties, participates in performance improvement, and ensures licensure and training requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Alabama required.
