About the role

Join Sanford Health’s ambulatory nursing care team at the Detroit Lakes Clinic (Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). The clinic is part of a not‑for‑profit health system with over 224 clinic locations and 46 medical centers, serving 5.2 million outpatient visits each year. The internal medicine department is team‑focused, committed to quality patient care, and promotes an upbeat, family‑like atmosphere with teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient
• Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals
• Counseling patients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• If IV therapy/management skills are required (North Dakota), graduation from a Board‑approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing board and/or possesses multi‑state licensure privileges
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications

Pay

Salary range: $21.00 – $29.50 per hour.

Schedule

Shift: 8‑hour day shifts; full‑time schedule (40 hours per week). Occasional Saturday morning coverage for the walk‑in clinic; no nights or major holidays.
