LPN - Orthopedics and Neurology - Full Time

About the role

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or direction of licensed healthcare professionals, ensuring professional accountability and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintains patient rights
• Supports orthopedic, stroke, and neurological patient needs in a 24-bed unit

Opportunity for NIH Stroke Certification is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience
• Current licensure as an LPN
• May require certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or unit-specific credentials, with some certifications needed within specified timeframes

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting
