Job Summary

Join our EPIC team at Wexford Senior Care Center! Our Practical Nurses are a part of our Skilled Nursing team that delivers specialized care to patients across various medical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and administer care as needed
• Leverage cutting-edge technology and work as part of a robust interdisciplinary team
• Perform a variety of treatments including wound care, irrigations, IV therapy, tube feedings, chest tubes, and peritoneal dialysis
• Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and advise patients and families on medication changes, treatment plans, and patient conditions
• Provide preventative and supportive care directed to the physiologic and psychosocial well-being of patients
• Oversight of the Nurse Aide team including giving direction, assignments, offering training, and contributing to recognition and evaluations

Requirements

• A current license to practice as an LPN in Michigan
• CPR certification
• An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, or higher
• High level of analytical abilities to prepare personalized care plans, implement effective nursing care and rehabilitation, and develop solutions to difficult problems concerning well-being
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care
• Team player, dedicated to supporting team members and getting the job done

• Up to $37.40 per hour starting wage range from $29.00 - $33.00 per hour based on years of certification
