LPN (Neuro) - PRN

About the Role

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or with a licensed healthcare professional, maintaining accountability for patient outcomes. Coordinates care with other departments, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients, particularly those with neuro and pulmonary conditions such as stroke, COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia.
• Administer complex therapies, including high flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, and chest tubes.
• Collaborate with stroke coordinators and utilize tele-neuro services for acute stroke and TIA patients.
• Provide patient education and ensure continuous, vigilant nursing care.

Requirements

• Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
• Current LPN license in the state or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Basic Life Support certification; IV certification within one year.
