LPN (Neuro) - PRN

About the Role

Provides patient care in a Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit under supervision, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement care for patients with neurological and pulmonary conditions. Coordinates with other departments to ensure comprehensive care while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conducts complex assessments for pulmonary and neuro patients, including those with COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, pneumonia, stroke, and TIA.
• Administers therapies such as high flow oxygen, BiPAP, and manages tracheostomies or chest tubes.
• Collaborates with the Stroke Coordinator and utilizes tele-neuro services.
• Provides patient education on stroke and neurological conditions.

Qualifications

• Holds a Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• Current LPN license and Basic Life Support certification.
• IV Certification required within 1 year.
• Must demonstrate professional accountability and strong assessment skills.
