About the role
Provide patient care using the nursing process under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional or Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and compassionate patient care in a Med Surg unit.
- Coordinate patient care with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
- Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent education and successful licensure.
- Current LPN license in the practicing state, meeting all state Board of Nursing requirements.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completed within 30 days of hire.
- LPN-IV Certification completed prior to or within 3 months of hire (for Missouri).
Skills
- Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
