Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- College diploma as an LPN
- Experience in medication passing, IV therapy, wound care, and patient assessments
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare team members
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications, hang IV fluids, and document assessments and care plans
- Assist with dressing changes, trach care, NG tube management, and ostomy care
- Cookbook with physicians/APPs for patient orders and updates
- Reinforce patient education and discharge instructions
