LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse Lead - Neurology

About the Role

Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinic RN, including administering treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, while supporting patient needs as part of the care team. Performs as a Clinic LPN, delivering quality patient care and serving as a role model.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents patient information such as chief complaint and vital signs, preparing patients for examinations.
• Identifies and addresses physical, social, and psychological needs of patients and families, reporting changes to the RN.
• Reinforces health education, collects laboratory specimens, and manages documentation.
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms, administers medications and treatments, and assists with diagnostic and surgical procedures.
• Manages IV insertions, monitoring, regulation, and discontinuation as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness of clinical areas, manages inventory, and participates in staffing and scheduling activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
• Accountability in operational tasks, equipment troubleshooting, and compliance with health and safety standards.
