About the role
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing residents and administering medications or treatments as ordered
- Ensuring residents' health, comfort, and safety
- Performing testing to evaluate resident status and responding to emergent situations
- Documenting care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary interactions
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Counseling residents and families on prevention and treatment plans
- Maintaining confidentiality and effective communication
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current, unencumbered LPN license and multi-state licensure privileges
- Experience or clinical training across the lifespan, with IV therapy skills if required
- Ability to complete necessary certifications and continuing education
