About the role
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents
- Administer medications and treatments
- Ensure resident health, comfort, and safety
- Demonstrate competency in nursing principles
- Perform testing
- Recognize problems
- Respond effectively to emergent situations
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions, care outcomes, and behavioral or dietary notes
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support effective communication with residents, families, and the care team
- Provide education and counseling to residents and families, supporting self‑care programs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, with preferred associate degree
- Current unencumbered LPN license and multi‑state licensure privileges
- Additional training or experience may be required for specific services such as IV therapy
- Completion of supervised clinical experience or at least 400 hours of practical experience
- Ongoing certification and continuing education to maintain licensure and competencies
