About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care to residents in long-term care settings, under supervision of registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians. The position actively participates in the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program, encouraging long-term service in rural areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing residents and administering medications or treatments as ordered
  • Monitoring resident health, comfort, and safety
  • Documenting care interactions, outcomes, and resident responses
  • Recognizing problems, recommending solutions, and responding to emergent situations
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members and establishing effective relationships
  • Counseling residents and families on prevention and treatment plans
  • Supporting resident education and developing self-care programs
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred
  • Valid LPN license with multi-state privileges
  • Experience or clinical training across the lifespan; minimum of 400 hours as an LPN preferred
  • Competency in IV therapy (if required by location)
  • Ability to communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Completion of ongoing education and certifications as required
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check

Pay

Salary range: $24.00 - $36.00
