About the role
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing residents' needs
- Administering medications and treatments
- Ensuring residents' health, comfort, and safety
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Documenting resident interactions and outcomes
- Counseling residents and family members on care and prevention plans
- Performing testing to evaluate residents' status and responding effectively to emergent situations
- Maintaining confidentiality and establishing effective relationships with residents and staff
- Supporting resident education and developing self-care programs
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- Holding an unencumbered LPN license
- Completing any required certifications, including IV therapy if applicable
- Clinical experience across the lifespan or at least 400 hours as an LPN
- Meeting ongoing competency and continuing education requirements
