About Convenient Care

Geisinger Convenient Care is a walk-in clinic that provides quick, convenient healthcare. Services include physicals, immunizations, and treatment for common illnesses. Schedules are 37.5 hours weekly, full-time, with benefits starting day one. Shifts include 8:45 AM to 8:15 PM, every other weekend from 7:45 AM to 6:15 PM. This is a float position with a premium pay rate for Northeast PA Convenient Care Clinics.

Job Duties

• Provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient, and their family.
• Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record.
• Promotes a clean environment.
• Obtains and documents patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provides basic medical data base for the provider.
• Prepares patient for examinations.
• Assists provider in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
• Collects and prepares laboratory specimens and completes associated paperwork.
• Executes and documents ongoing patient communication.
• Administers medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under the direction of a provider.
• Cleans and sets up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring asepsis, availability of instruments and equipment, and preparation of the patient.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of Nursing experience (preferred).
