LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

Bellwood Developmental Center, an 82-bed ICF/DD facility, is looking for experienced, creative, and dependable Full-Time and Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for evening and weekend shifts to join our dynamic, caring, progressive, and close-knit community.

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to intellectually and developmentally disabled patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Requirements

• Previous LPN experience providing health care services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required
• Previous LPN experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Pay
