About the role
Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing compassionate patient care, assessing needs, and coordinating treatment in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to patient assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Provide direct care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
- Reinforce patient and family education, discharge planning, and promote safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making and support new staff and students through precepting.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a new advanced acute care unit.
Work environment
Work is performed in a clinical environment with opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and involvement in evidence-based practice. The role includes participation in a new 32-room unit.
Schedule
Evening/night shifts, every other weekend and holiday.
