LPN/Hospital/UKHC / CHANDLER 5 MAIN ACUTE / 7P
About the role
The LPN is a member of the multidisciplinary ambulatory team who is responsible for patient care, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The LPN performs the duties for which they are trained such as starting IVs, simple wound dressings, and notifying the RN or LIP with any changes or abnormalities in the patients condition.
Responsibilities
- Starting IVs
- Simplifying wound dressings
- Notifying RN or LIP with any changes or abnormalities in the patients condition
- Working three, 12-hour, NIGHT shifts, 7PM-730AM, 36 hours / week.
- May be required to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Kentucky Licensure
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis and 25-50 pounds frequently; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time.

- Superb direct patient care and critical thinking skills
- Basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet
- Ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with patients and their families, co-workers and physicians
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills
- Highest level of motivation, proactivity, and confidence in advocating for patients and their family members
- Enjoy working in a strong team environment and providing open, honest communication with fellow staff and physicians
- Exceptional technical skills and proven ability to work in a team as well as independently

Pay
$19.00-30.09/hour
Schedule
Must be able to work three, 12-hour, NIGHT shifts, 7PM-730AM, 36 hours / week. Will be required to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
