About the role

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in the 3 Medicine Acute care area at UK Chandler Hospital provide care to adult patients with a wide range of medical/surgical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat multiple medical and surgical disease complications under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs).
• Perform duties as per training, including starting IVs, simple wound dressings, and reporting any changes or abnormalities in the patient's condition to RNs or LIPs.
• Work three, 12-hour night shifts from 7PM until 7:30AM, with some weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Kentucky licensure.
• Requires handling of average weights or objects up to 25 pounds with some sitting, standing, or walking.

Qualifications

• Education: LPN.
• Experience: One year of experience preferred.
