About the role

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in the 3 Medicine Acute care area at UK Chandler Hospital provide care to adult patients with a wide range of medical / surgical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult patients with a wide range of medical / surgical conditions.
• Diagnose and treat multiple medical and surgical disease complications.
• Perform duties for which they are trained such as starting IVs, simple wound dressings, and notify RN or LIP of any changes or abnormalities in the patient's condition.

Requirements

• Required Education: LPN
• Required Experience: 0 years
• Physical Requirements: Requires handling of average weights or objects up to 25 pounds with some sitting, standing, or walking.
• Shift: Must be able to work three, 12-hour night shifts from 7PM until 7:30AM; will also be required to work some weekend and holidays.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Kentucky Licensure
