About the role

4 East Med-Surg Telemetry Unit at UK Good Samaritan Hospital provide for medical surgical patients and adults requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Patient conditions include a wide range of medical conditions and recovery from surgical procedures which may or may not require telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of an RN, the primary responsibilities for this position consist of providing comprehensive, continuous and patient centered care which includes:

• On-going assessments, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care
• Delivering direct patient care
• Ensuring patient satisfaction
• Delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistant)
• Adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations

• Education: LPN
• Experience: 0 years
• License/Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Kentucky Licensure

Schedule

• Must be able to work two, 12-hour shifts per week every weekend, either Friday/Saturday and/or Sunday from 7pm until 7:30am
• Will also be required to work some holidays
• Part of the premium weekend plan

Pay

• Salary range: $19.00-30.09/hour
