Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a senior living community. Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting resident assessments, updating care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure residents' safety, dignity, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized nursing care per care plans
- Monitor residents' physical and psychosocial health
- Administer medications and conduct resident assessments
- Update care plans and respond to emergencies
- Coordinate care with physicians, families, and care teams
- Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities
- Support staff training and ensure regulatory adherence
- Maintain compliant documentation and adhere to regulatory standards
- Support health promotion initiatives
Requirements
- Current LPN license or equivalent as per state regulations
- Minimum of two years' nursing experience, preferably in assisted living or long-term care
- Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to emergencies
- Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications
- Ability to lift or assist residents as needed
