About the role
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for delivering professional nursing care to residents of all ages in an assisted living setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing assessments, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and ensure resident health, comfort, and safety.
- Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to emergent situations.
- Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and maintain accurate records.
- Support residents, families, and care team members through counseling and education on prevention and treatment plans.
- Perform testing, evaluate data, and contribute to care planning within the full scope of nursing expertise.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and support staff as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with residents and team members.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program leading to licensure as an LPN.
- Current state licensure as a practical nurse.
- Preferred experience in long-term care, sub-acute, or medical/surgical settings.
Skills
- Knowledge of resident education principles and ability to develop self-care programs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
