Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Communicate with pharmacies.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health status, noting any changes and reporting them promptly, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Lead resident assistants and med techs to ensure superior care (patient assessments, audits, and staff training).
  • Supervise and support caregivers in delivering care.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Current and valid LPN license in Michigan.
  • Proven experience of successful nursing role in a senior living or long-term care environment; most of which should be in a management role.
  • Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • The ability to relate positively to residents, their families, employees, and the community at large with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and possess excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
