About the Role
Holland Home is Michigan's leading nonprofit senior living and care organization, recognized for providing compassionate, high-quality care across a full continuum of services. Located in Grand Rapids, our beautiful Breton Woods Campus offers a rare part-time opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) seeking schedule stability, role variety, and meaningful resident connections. This unique position supports the Breton Extended Care Assisted Living (BEC) residence, offering a rewarding blend of clinical care, resident advocacy, and collaboration across multiple levels of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct LPN care, including medication administration, treatments, assessments, vital signs, documentation, and timely communication of condition changes to physicians.
- Support daily clinical operations by assisting with staffing coverage, orienting new staff, and coaching team members under nursing leadership guidance.
- Monitor resident care needs in Assisted Living and Independent Living settings to promote quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as a liaison among residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support admissions.
- Respond to resident emergencies and assist with physician procedures while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care aligned with organizational values.
Schedule
7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (12-hour day shifts), including every Monday. Location: Grand Rapids, MI.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program with current Michigan LPN licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Previous experience in emergency room or home care case management strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strong assessment skills and ability to make independent clinical decisions.
