Assisted Living LPN

Job Responsibilities

• Contributes to the nursing process and implements a resident plan of care.
• Performs direct nursing services such as administering treatments and assisting with assessments and evaluations.
• Delegates suitable components of care to nursing assistants and provides guidance and supervision when necessary.
• Affords assistance in resident and family health teaching and rehabilitation.
• Consults and validates data with the RN, records and reports pertinent information, and provides explanations to families and other staff.
• Recognizes and reports safety hazards.
• Might assume team leader duties when assigned under the direction of an RN.
• Identifies and evaluates the resident’s response to health problems and treatments.
• Communicates resident care needs and approach to other personnel involved in care.
• Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development by planning and/or participating in conferences and classes to improve knowledge and practice resident care; attending in-service programs and monthly staff meetings.
• Interprets the philosophy and objectives of the facility and the nursing service to residents, families, and other employees when necessary.
• Participates in the nursing service quality assurance program.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Experience in nursing preferred, not required.
