Essential Job Functions
- Administers and oversees self-administered and prescribed medications per established schedules as ordered.
- Maintains accurate records reflecting vital signs, physical health information, and treatment results.
- Administers injectable medications, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery, and educates clients on managing side effects.
- Completes and maintains accurate documentation relating to care, medications, and other services provided.
- Maintains client medical records and charts for admissions and discharges.
- Schedules outside medical appointments for clients, as ordered by medical providers.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts of medicines and medical supplies and ensures timely replacement orders.
- Maintains compliance with CLIA standards for medical equipment and supplies.
- Participates in team meetings with MD/APRN/RN to manage medication management clinics.
Education and Training
- Up to eighteen months of education or training beyond the high school level in nursing or related field of study.
- Licensure for Practical Nursing in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Graduation from an accredited program.
Experience
- Minimum 6-12 months nursing experience.
Physical Demands
- Occasional exposure to threat of bodily harm from clients and their families.
- Routine but limited exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue.
- Reliable transportation for frequent travel between work sites.
Additional Expectations
- Exercise principle-centered leadership, focused on customer service responsiveness, with a continuous quality improvement orientation.
- Develop a working knowledge of and follow all policies and procedures related to safety management and Joint Commission standards.
