LPN -- Emergency

Part-time, evening shift opportunity for experienced Canadian Registered Nurses.

About the Role

Full-Time position scheduled 36 hours per week - 12-hour shifts, with a weekend rotation and holiday commitment at Trinity Health Livonia, a 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, MI. The hospital provides comprehensive care including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics, and birthing and women's health.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN)

• Accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe.
• Coordinates and evaluates care, teaching, and delegation of patient activities to other healthcare team members.
• Utilizes therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Functions as a collaborative member of the healthcare team under supervision of the RN/provider.
• Implements specific aspects of the nursing process and performs direct patient care.
• Coordinates activities related to unit processes.
• Administers medications as authorized within the scope of practice.
• Demonstrates unit/area competencies.
• Actively supports unit-based shared governance council.
• Promotes organizational commitment and excellence in patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
• Current and active LPN license in the State of Michigan.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).

53-bed Emergency Department is a fast-paced, dynamic environment providing comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages. As a Level II Trauma Center, we deliver advanced, life-saving interventions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage critical cases. The ER team is committed to excellence in patient care, rapid decision-making, and compassionate service during urgent and emergent situations.
