An opportunity to join Trinity Health Livonia as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This is a full-time position scheduled for 36 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts with weekend rotation and holiday commitment.

The 53-bed Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center offering advanced, life-saving interventions and multidisciplinary care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Function as a collaborative member of the healthcare team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or provider.
• Implement specific aspects of the nursing process and perform direct patient care for a specific group of patients.
• Coordinate activities related to unit processes and patient flow.
• Administer medications as authorized within the scope of LPN practice.
• Demonstrate unit/area competencies and actively support unit-based shared governance council activities.
• Promote organizational commitment and excellence in patient care.
• Note: The LPN may not delegate tasks to or supervise other licensed or non-licensed health professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
• Current and active LPN license in the State of Michigan.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
