LPN Crisis Stabilization Unit

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
• Cookout medication orders and maintain effective communication with the pharmacy regarding required medications.
• Monitor individuals for adverse reactions or side effects related to medications and report concerns as appropriate.
• Document the effectiveness of PRN medications, including the behavior or symptoms that led to administration and the individual’s response.
• Adhere to facility policies for the tracking, handling, and accountability of all medications.
• Dispose of medications in accordance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure all medication-related information is accurately documented on the discharge summary.
• Reconcile home medications with the individual and communicate with the individual’s pharmacy as needed to verify accurate medication histories and prescriptions.
• Obtain appropriate authorization (ROI or verbal consent) prior to communication.
• Maintain the medication cart, ensuring it is free of expired or unlabeled medications.
• Keep the medication room clean, organized, and compliant with facility standards.
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A High School Diploma/GED equivalent
• Valid Georgia LPN Licensure
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position (which include but are not limited to moving/transporting patients, furniture, driving vehicles, etc.)

Qualifications

Final pay rate will be dependent on a combination of qualifications such as experience and education.
