LPN - Clinical I (MEDS)

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews patient records, initiates follow-up, and documents patient information, observations, and responses.
• Administers treatments, immunizations, medications, and performs authorized point-of-care testing, reporting results to practitioners.
• Documents care interventions, monitors patient responses, and collaborates with RNs and practitioners to adjust care plans.
• Maintains competency in nursing skills and equipment, participates in staff meetings, and coordinates projects.
• Performs emergency care, delegates tasks to unlicensed staff, and ensures adherence to policies and protocols.
• Follows discharge plans, manages vaccine data, and ensures compliance with immunization guidelines and inventory control.
• Provides patient education, assists in orientation of new staff, and supports infection control procedures.
• Prepares supplies, schedules patient care, and processes forms.

Requirements

• At least 12 months of LPN experience
• Hawaii licensure
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Acute care experience
• Proficiency with PC applications
