LPN – Behavioral Health (Full-Time)

About the role

IMC is currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for IMC Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
• Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Applies the nursing process to each patient and implements nursing actions.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and in collaboration with other disciplines initiates education needs according to the age of the patient.
• Participates in planning of patients discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
• Participates in departmental and hospital improvement plan.
• Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
• Current license as a LPN in the state of Louisiana.
• Must maintain CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certifications.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
• Demonstrates knowledge of LA Mental Health Statutes.
• Knowledge of anatomy.
