About the role
Join our journey at Pawnee Nation Behavioral Health, a state-of-the-art facility set to open in spring 2025 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. We aim to revolutionize behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment by providing compassionate care, removing barriers, and empowering individuals on their path to recovery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct medical assessments for patients during the intake process, including reviewing medical history, taking vitals, and performing drug screenings.
- Oversee confidential health risk assessments and ensure patients have access to counseling and testing services.
- Educate patients on medication adherence and provide relevant health information tailored to their care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and medical needs throughout their recovery journey.
- Aid in the daily operations of the facility, including front desk support and administrative responsibilities.
- Generate and review monthly Medication Administration Records (MARs), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program protocols and best practices in behavioral health.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Oklahoma (or ability to obtain before start date).
- Experience working with substance use disorder patients (preferred).
- Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols and best practices in addiction treatment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients on medication adherence and self-care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Must have or be able to obtain a current First Aid & CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
- Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Setting: Indoors, environmentally controlled facility.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motions; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Communication: Regular interactions via email, phone, video, and in-person discussions.
