About the role
Provides professional nursing care to residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
Makes daily rounds and audits, including shift reports, to ensure proper care, documentation, and order transcription to maintain high standards for this department.
Schedules and supports the scheduling function.
Assigns duties to PCAs and takes an active role in supervising, educating, and helping them develop.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe and healthy environment for residents.
- Administers medications and treatments according to policies and regulations.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation of resident care.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care plans.
- Participates in performance evaluations and feedback sessions.
Requirements
- Current LPN licensure in the State of Delaware.
- General working knowledge of the aging services industry.
- Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience in long-term care or related field.
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software.
