About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work in the 2 North West Neurosurgery Department at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Responsibilities include providing patient-centered nursing care, assisting the healthcare team with preventing illness and injury, maintaining patient wellness, and offering comfort.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
- Assists with patient education and discharge planning
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Ensures patient safety through adherence to infection control protocols and other safety measures
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
- Current West Virginia license as an LPN
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred but not required
