About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse integrates skills and knowledge to provide patient-centered nursing care to meet the needs of patients on the unit. Assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Assesses patient’s physical, psychological, social, developmental, and spiritual needs.
• Documents patient care activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participates in ongoing education and training related to patient care.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

• Current West Virginia license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited LPN program.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
