About the Role
As a Licensed Mental Health Professional, you will provide in-person geriatric mental health services to residents of long-term care and rehabilitation centers. Our clinicians focus on improving the psychological and physical well-being of older adults, empowering them to achieve their individual therapeutic goals. Your expertise will help patients and their families navigate the challenges of aging, improving their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person geriatric mental health services to residents of long-term care and rehabilitation centers
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions, as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient sessions and treatment plans
- Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and evidence-based treatment approaches
Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Experience working with geriatric populations preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize patient needs
